Pinterest Offers Opportunity for Business to Reach Millions of Potential Customers

The Pinterest campaign currently being run by Keystone Custom Homes, Central Pennsylvania’s largest locally owned builder, provides a good model for companies looking for a way to interact with consumers. The social media giant of Pinterest offers an opportunity to interact with their more than 48 million users, and 43 percent of those users agree that they use Pinterest to associate with particular retailers or brands, including those in the homebuilding industry.

The Pin-N-Win contest that Keystone Custom Homes is currently running has seen 55 users submit entries for their contest in just one short week. The contest requires contestants to create a board of their dream home using pins from Keystone’s own Pinterest boards. Once they have created their vision of the perfect home, they will be eligible to win a $500 gift card from popular home décor retailer Pottery Barn. Pinterest’s number one category for pinboards is home décor, with 11 percent of total boards created given that designation by users; this means that Keystone is perfectly targeting an already captive audience by giving them even more reasons to pin their favorite design features from the builder.

“Pinterest is one of the fastest growing social networks, and the most popular boards on the site are those that feature home décor, “ said Janett Hawkins, Vice President of Marketing and Internet Technology with Keystone Custom Homes. “We decided it would be fun to connect with these Pinterest users that love all things related to homes by launching a Pin-N-Win sweepstakes.”

If you are searching for an effective way to reach the massive amount of users that are on Pinterest, then consider how your company could benefit from hosting a Pinterest-based contest with prizes geared directly towards your clientele.
